A postdoctoral position will be available in the laboratory of Asst. Prof. Phillip Grant at the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB), Nanyang Technological University. The initial contract will be for 12 months, with the possibility of extension. The ideal start date would be between January 2023 and March 2024.

About the lab. The Grant lab is a new addition to the faculty at NTU, focused on developing innovative approaches to the chemical synthesis of high-value organic molecules, both natural and designer.

About the project. Ensuring organic synthesis remains valuable to society necessitates the development of more sustainable strategies and tactics. This position offers the possibility to be involved in a range of projects united by this important goal, such as the development of ‘green’ platform for rapid access to complex natural product-like compounds for drug discovery.

About the candidate. The ideal candidate will be a passionate scientist and problemsolver with a PhD in organic chemistry. Experience in multi-step synthesis or synthetic methods development is desirable. Candidates from traditionally underrepresented groups in STEM are especially encouraged to apply.
