1. Background Information

UCL is a leading university at UK, and one of the top 10 universities in the world (QS World Ranking 8th). Particularly, UCL rank 2nd for overall Research Power in the UK and rank 1st for Medical Technology in Europe.

The HUB of Intelligent Neuro-engineering is founded by Dr. Hubin Zhao, who is currently an Assistant Professor at UCL, UK. Dr. Hubin Zhao has strong background in Electronic Engineering&Neural Engineering, and his research team is working at the intersection of Advanced Electronics, Neural Engineering, and Medical Technologies.

2. PhD Research Topics

The primary research topics of Dr. Hubin Zhao include:

• Wearable, Implantable&Non-Contact Medical Imagine, Sensing and Health Monitoring Technologies
• Artificial Intelligence(AI) Hardware for Medical Imaging and Healthcare
• Technology Developments and Applications for Brain-Computer Interface&Human-Robot Interaction
• Advanced Medical Electronics, Microelectronics&Optoelectronics for Medical Applications

3. Project and Scholarship Info

The duration of each project is about 3-4 years, expected to start between Apr-Sept 2023.
