15  Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowships within the European Joint Doctorate program for the academic year 2023-2024

AQTIVATE Beneficiaries

Deadline: February 28, 2023

Academic Qualifications

A Master’s degree (or expect to have one by October/November 2023) with a strong academic record in physics, mathematics, biological sciences, computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related scientific field is required.

Eligibility

  • At the time of recruitment by the host organization(s), ESRs must be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers.

“Full-Time Equivalent Research Experience is measured from the date when a researcher obtained the degree entitling him or her to embark on a doctorate, either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the researcher is recruited, even if a doctorate was never started or envisaged.”

  • ESRs must not already be in possession of a doctoral degree. Researchers who have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but who have not yet formally been awarded the doctoral degree will not be considered eligible.

Mobility Rule

ESRs must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host organization(s) for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before their recruitment date. (Compulsory national service, short stays such as holidays and time spent by the ESR as part of a procedure for obtaining refugee status under the Geneva Convention are not taken into account.)
