Dr. Yang Zhao’s group (https://www.eng.uwo.ca/mies/) in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Western University is accepting applications for postdoctoral fellows and PhD students on the study of next-generation batteries. The candidates will be involved in projects of advanced materials (cathode/anode), interfaces and advanced characterization techniques for next-generation batteries.

Description of Duties: Successful candidates will be expected to publish first-authored papers in high-impact journals, present at international conferences, cultivate their mentoring skills by supervising of graduate students and establishing novel directions of research, and foster their leadership and project management skills by coordinating the research activities ongoing at multiple institutions.

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Term: 12 months with anticipation of renewal.
