There are MSc/PhD positions available in Chi Lab at the University of Ottawa, on a rolling basis, in the field of condensed matter physics, electrical engineering and computer science.

Candidates are invited to submit to Dr. Chi via email: CV, Transcripts, Statement (of research interests, achievements and career aspiration, up to two pages), and arrange two (to three) Letters of Recommendation to be directly sent to Dr. Chi by the referees.

Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted. Various prestigious scholarships are available for eligible candidates, e.g., Vanier CGS, CGS D, CGS M, NSERC PGS D, OGS, QEII, FRQNT and Mitacs. Please contact Dr. Chi for details and support.

Postdoctoral Researchers

Applications and nominations are welcome for postdoctoral researcher positions in the field of experimental condensed matter physics in Chi Lab at the University of Ottawa, to investigate interface-driven magnetic, topological and superconducting quantum materials and devices, utilizing state-of-the-art materials growth (crystals and films), nanofabrication, magneto-thermo-electrical transport, as well as leveraging neutron, muon, high field, magnetic imaging and scanning tunneling techniques through collaborations at major research institutes and facilities.

For consideration, applicants with proven excellent credentials are invited to submit to Dr. Chi via email: CV, Research Statement (up to three pages), and arrange three confidential Letters of Reference.

Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. For those eligible, Dr. Chi will support and accommodate their applications to distinguished Postdoc Fellowship Programs including Banting, NSERC PDF and MSCA Global.
