How to write a Curriculum Vitae (CV)?
A curriculum vitae (CV) is an overview of a person's experience and other qualifications for an academic job position.
Structure
Personal Information
What should be included:
- First and last names
- Address
- Phone numbers, including country code
- Email address
- Date of birth (only in the British CV)
What should be avoided:
- A picture of you (the norm in English-speaking countries)
- Religion
- Nationality
- Place of Birth
- Marital status
Work Experience
What should be included:
- Name of the company/institute and location (city and country, because some cities might be unknown to the employers)
- Work period (month and year)
- Professional job title or your responsibility
- Main activities and your tasks

- Between 10pt and 12pt
- Highlight your important part with a font size of 14pt or 16pt, or capital letters

- Normally, a CV is a maximum of 2 pages long. But an academic CV may include 5 to 7 pages, and sometimes, even more.
