As an incoming Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Virginia, I am excited to invite applications for multiple PhD and internship positions.

Research Interests:
My research interests lie in the intersection of Software Engineering, Software Security, Formal Methods, and Machine Learning. My research is dedicated to enhancing the security and reliability of software systems, including AI systems. To achieve this goal, I focus on developing and applying efficient techniques in formal methods and machine learning, as well as exploring the synergies between these two fields. Open Positions:
For undergraduate/graduate students interested in research, we are always seeking enthusiastic interns to join our projects. Internship positions are available at any time througout the year. Additionally, we have several PhD student positions open, starting in Fall 2025.

Applicants should have a strong academic background in computer science or related fields. While experience in systems, machine learning, or formal methods is beneficial, it is not required. The key qualities that will make you stand out are your motivation for research, strong programming skills, and passion for innovation.
